The Solar Face Shield is clinically tested to block out the sun and provide UV protection for your face. It does not provide a skintight barrier to keep germs from entering on the sides of your face. If someone were to cough directly in front of you it would essentially capture the droplets on the surface of the shield, so it does provide that protection from any liquids but is not meant to take the place of other CDC recommended measures. You should consult your physician for the protective measures they recommend you take.
Here is a way to provide full-face sun protection, not use chemicals on your skin, mess up your make-up or worry about applying enough sunscreen or missing a spot. You can even wear the sun shield after applying sunscreen for double comfort that you are sun protected.

Most orders are shipped out same day or within 24 business hours from our warehouse in San Diego, California. We do not process orders on weekends.
In very rare cases, 1% of the time, we get customers that email us stating they have not received their order after it has been posted as "Delivered" by USPS/selected carrier. In most of these cases, the postal courier has placed the package inside the mailbox (rather than the front door) as many of our packages are in mailers and not boxes. If you have not received your package and it has been posted as delivered in tracking, please check your mailbox first, then contact the courier directly as only they can connect you with the courier that delivered or marked delivered the package. Unfortunately, we have no control of USPS or the package once it leaves us so if it has been marked as delivered we must take USPS's word that it has been. If you contact them we have never had an unresolved issue of it still being missing.
We find that most of our customers receive their purchases within 3-5 business days of processing. We ship standard orders using USPS First Class Mail.
Expedited shipping cost varies for domestic US shipping destinations. Expedited shipping typically takes up to 4 business days to arrive. Please note if there is an unexpected delay we will contact you. Feel free to email us if you have questions about your specific order or need it by a certain day so we can best accommodate you.
Also, please note, with UPS 3-day select, it sometimes takes longer than 3 days for package to arrive. Same thing with UPS 2nd day air. Both shipping methods are widely used and popular. However, please be aware that we do not have control over the carrier shipping times.
International Orders are welcomed. Shipping charges default to carrier charges which are presented during the checkout process. You will be prompted to select the most suitable option between all available carriers.

Lastly, please note that you will be responsible for any customs/VAT/duties, if applicable, at the time of delivery. In many cases, if a consumer refuses to pay the taxes associated with the transaction it gets rejected and sent back to us. We would not refund the shipping charges we incurred if a package is rejected for nonpayment of duties/taxes owed.
Customs, duties and other fees assessed by the destination country for an item can NOT be paid to the United States Postal Service® when the item is mailed. The recipient of the mailpiece is the only one who can pay the customs fees.
All items entering a foreign country are subject to customs inspection and assessment of duties, taxes, and fees in accordance with that country's national laws (this fee is also collected in the United States on inbound international items). Customs duties and taxes are assessed, generally, if the item sent is dutiable and if the value of the item is above the threshold set by the country's laws. Each country assesses customs, duties, and taxes. Check the World Customs Organization website for general information, or visit the website of that country's customs service.
It is important to understand that, if duties and taxes are assessed on an item mailed via the Postal Service™, they are collected from the recipient. Postage is charged to cover the expense of delivery only. Postage does not cover charges assessed by customs in the destination country.
Please note, all regular shipping from the US Postal Service to Australia and New Zealand have been suspended as of September of 2021. Priority mail express is the only option available at the moment.
Also, Sungrubbies is no longer able to honor any special shipping rates towards all shipments to either country. This is all due to the sudden change in shipping regulations. We will open up regular shipping options once US Postal Service suspension is lifted.
At Sungrubbies returns are easy! Use our return label to postmark your return within 15 days of the delivery date, and we'll cover the cost of your return shipping! All items will be inspected and must be in their original condition with tags attached, no stains or signs of wear, and in the packaging or similar packaging as they were delivered (please do not stuff our hats in smaller packages or destroy them, all damaged merchandise will not be accepted). If you are outside the 15 day free return window but within 30 days of item receipt, you can still ship the item(s) back to us directly through your carrier of choice at:

It is great! I'm currently using skin care products that require me to stay out of the sun. I like that I can wear The Sungrubbies face shield several different ways, it's light, durable. I'm purchasing an extra one to keep in my car.
I had to break the plastic headband and remove it from within the head strap to make this comfortable enough to use. Even so, the reflection from the tinted plastic was too distracting perhaps because of my eyeglasses. This did not work for me
